FC 24: How to Fix "Drop-in" Error

If you're enjoying EA Sports' latest football game, EA FC 24, you may have encountered a frustrating error called "Drop-in not running error." This issue affects players of the "Pro Club" game mode, which competes in open weight matches against randomly formed teams. This error can manifest itself in a number of ways, including being unable to participate in online matches, disconnecting quickly, taking long loading times, or popping up a "go straight to" error window.

EA Sports acknowledged the issue on its research Trello board, but has yet to find a permanent solution. However, there are some solutions you can try:

1. Remove the custom mod from your character and search for online matches again. Teams using modified characters are more likely to crash than regular characters.
2. Please join the random club before using it. Some players said this temporarily fixed the bug.
3. Please restart your device and try again.
4. Turn off cross-platform play on all platforms.
5. Play in single player mode or couch co-op.
6. Connect when there are very few players on the server.
7. Uninstall and reinstall EA FC 24.
